Semi permanent makeup Q&A

Permanent Make Up Questions

What are the benefits of Permanent Make Up?

Perfect make up every day without having to re-apply or worry about smudging or streaking. Plucking eyebrows becomes a thing of the past retaining the perfect chosen eyebrow shape everyday. The treatment is also great for athletes and swimmers who don’t have to reapply their make up after every shower/ swim. Men and women with scarring can benefit as this procedure can camouflage scars.

What is involved in a Permanent Make Up treatment ?

To give the best possible results we carry out a detailed consultation and patch test. At this time you can ask questions and discuss desired shape, colour and aftercare advice. This gentle procedure is done by hand with no machines or injections. A topical numbing agent is applied to de-sensitise the area. The pigments that are then applied to the skin are carefully mixed to match your hair colour and skin tone. For the first few days after the initial procedure, the colour will look dark. These will then lighten, peel and fade to a more natural tone and subtle effect. The treatment is virtually painless and once complete you can return to your normal day activities.

Is the procedure painful?

We always use the latest professional numbing creams. Comfort levels can vary from person to person and some clients do find it uncomfortable. However, this is soon forgotten you view the final results.

How long will the results last?

With good aftercare, this lasts on average 1 – 5 years and in some cases longer . Results can vary due to age, skin type, health and lifestyle. In order to keep the treament looking fresh we recommend an after treatment free consultation 12 – 18 months after the initial procedure.
